Ohms Flashcards
What are voltage, current and resistance?
Voltage: amount of “push” the electrons have.
Current: amount of charge passing one point in the circuit in 1 second.
Resistance: relative slow down of electrons around the circuit
What happens as voltage increases and decreases?
As voltage increases, what happens to the current?
INCREASES
If we increase resistance, what happens to the current?
DECREASES
What is Ohms Law?
Ohm’s Law say that the electric current through a conductor between two points is directly proportional to the voltage across the two points.
You use the V,I, R triangle for calculations.
These are the formulas
V=IxR
R=V/I
I=V/R
What is the Grass Method?
G = Given
R = Required
A = Analysis
S = Solution
S = Statement
