It’s where the Officers would have lived (they could choose to live elsewhere but they would have had to rent them, which many did)

1786, made entirely out of wood
What happened to the original Officers Quarters?
it was destroyed by a fire in 1815
What was different about the second Officers Quarters?
while still built out of wood, it had a fire wall dividing the building
Was the fire wall ever put to use?
The fire wall was put to use in 1837, when a fire destroyed half of the building closest to the river
When was the construction for the current Officers Quarters?
1839-1841
When was the surviving half of the wooden building torn down?
1925 (but you cans till see the foundations)
What is the Officers Quarters used for now?
it is now the Fredericton Region museum (where you can find the Coleman frog!)
