What is an offer?
A statement of the terms upon which the person making the offer is willing to enter the contract
Definition of offeree and offeror?
Offeree = the person the offer is being made to
Offeror = The person who is making the offer
What makes an offer uncertain?
Words or phrases in the offer itself, it must be clear that an offer is being made
What is the case of Gibson V MCC?
MCC hadn’t made an offer, they suggested the purchase was possible but not definite
Who can make an offer?
An offer can be made by anyone such as individuals and businesses. Offers can also be made by notice or a machine (Thornton V Shoe Lane Parking)
How long does an offer last?
As long as it is still open, can be specified how long or it will be up to the judges interpretation (Taylor V Laird)
What is the difference between an offer and ITT?
An offer is a statement of terms of the contract, ITT is inviting people to make an offer

What is revocation?
Revoking an offer(Routledge V Grant), can also be done by a 3rd party(Dickson V Dodds)
