SECTION 14
ON-LICENCE
authorises the holder of the licence to:
- sell
- supply
- allow consumption of
alcohol on the premises or conveyance described in the licence
EG restaurant, BYO restaurant, Inter-islander Ferry
SECTION 17
OFF-LICENCE
authorises the holder of the licence to:
- sell
- deliver
- arrange for delivery of
alcohol for consumption off the premises described in the licence.
EG Bottle Store, Supermarkets, hotel/club/bar when you can take it away, complimentary samples
SECTION 21
CLUB LICENCE
authorises the holder of the licence to:
- sell
- supply
alcohol for consumption on the premises described in the licence to any:
- member of the club
- guest accompanied by a member of the club
- member of another club with reciprocal visiting rights
The club cannot be open to the public
SECTION 22
SPECIAL LICENCE (two kinds)
(1) ON-SITE
− sell
− supply
alcohol for consumption on the premises to any
− person attending any occasion(s) or event(s) described in the licence.
(2) OFF-SITE
− sell
alcohol for consumption elsewhere to any
− person attending any occasion(s) or event(s) described in the license.
EG Occasion or event eg Cricket club who wants to sell alcohol over a period of 3 days for duration of a match.
An on-licence or club licence could apply for this type of licence if they wish to sell alcohol outside their normal authorised hours EG wedding/function
INTOXICATION
intoxicated means observably affected by alcohol, drugs and/or other substances to such a degree that 2 or more of the following are evident: S peech impaired C oordination impaird A ppearance affected B ehaviour impaired
LICENSED PREMISES
licensed premises means any premises for which a licence is held
SUPERVISED AREA
supervised area means an area to which minors must not be admitted unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
RESTRICTED AREA
restricted area means an area to which persons under 18 years must not be admitted.

SECTION 214(3) DISPLAY OF MANAGERS LICENCE - Prominently displayed mgrs name
Inadequate/incorrect signage should be brought to attention of the duty mngr and REPORT to AHPO for follow-up
