Morosely
Something done in a bad temper or gloomy mood
An example of morosely is when you reluctantly agree to do something and you are grumpy the whole time you do it.

Brusquely
Something done abruptly, briefly or so quickly it seems rude.
When a friend asks you how your day was and you snap “fine,” this is an example of when you reply brusquely.

If you sit around for a long time thinking about what will happen if you die, this is an example of when you contemplate death.

Done with great or numerous details.
An example of elaborate is a wedding with a horse drawn carriage, a chocolate fountain, perfectly matching linens and a carefully executed theme.

Feeling anguish
Anguish is a feeling of physical or mental pain.
A teenager not calling their parents and staying out all night is an example of anguish.

Eager to fight or disagree.
An example of pugnacious is the small dog who barks and nips at the other dogs in the park.

Ominously
Something done in a way that appears threatening or potentially harmful.
When you glare at someone in a way that communicates a threat of harm, this is an example of a time when you glare ominously.
Derogatory
Making something or someone feel less than they are.
An example of derogatory is a comment that insults someone’s abilities.

A person who is upset or worried about some future event or about the possibility that something will happen.
If you have a premonition that something bad is going to happen and that makes you very concerned and nervous, that is an example of being apprehensive.

An example of derision is the feeling opposing gangs have for each other.

The definition of sarcastic is someone or something that is a sneering remark.
An example of sarcastic is a person saying that a song is their favorite, when in reality they dislike it immensely.

An example of reprehensible is cheating on an exam.

An example of bemuse is when you behave in a erratic or suprising way so that your boyfriend or girlfriend never understands what to expect of you.

To cower is to duck down, crouch or hide in fear.
An example of cower is when you are terrified of dogs and hide behind your friend when a dog comes bounding towards you.
