Eosinophilic Oesophagitis presentation
A
Paed: Failure to thrive, refuse food
Adoles: Chest/eigastric pain and vomiting
Adult: Dysphagia, food bolus obstruction, heartburn, chest pain

Ix of oesophagitis
A
Endoscopy: Diminished vascular pattern. Mucosal furrows. Thick mucosa. Exudates. Strictures. Rings - as in image below. Laryngeal oedema, vocal cord nodules, laryngeal ventricular obliteration.

Tx of oesophagitis
A
Elemental diet: Amino acid based for 6 week Topical steroids (Fluticasone MDI) Hydrostatic balloon dilatation or guided wire bougie dilatation
