Symptomatology of Schizophrenias:
What are positive symptoms?
‘Added’ on top of a person’s baseline:
- Delusions
- Hallucinations
- Grandiosity
- Paranoia / persecutory beliefs

What are negative symptoms?
‘Subtracted’ from a person’s baseline:
- Flat or blunted affect
- Emotional & social withdrawal
- Lack of spontaneity in speech, thinking, and/or behaviours
What do the Cognitive Symptoms of Schizophrenia Impact?
- Processing speed
- Working memory
- Attention and vigilance
- Verbal learning
- Reasoning and problem solving
- Social / emotional cognition
Employment Supports:
Individual Placement & Support (IPS) Model
intensive, individual support, a rapid job search followed by placement in paid employment, and time-unlimited in-work support for both the employee and the employer.
*caveat: not a good fit for this with Serious MI

LOCUS = Level of Care Utilization System
- ID level of severity of a mental/substance use health issue (risk of harm, functional status, comorbidity, supports, tx history)

LOCUS = Level of Care Utilization System
- The range of scores= levels 1-6
- Lower score = lower level on pyramid, less support needed
- Higher score = high level on pyramid, more support needed

- FACTT teams tend to be more levels 3-4 (community based) and sometimes 5
- ACTT teams tend to be more levels 4-5 and sometimes 6 (hospital based)
