Repetition
Work Posture
Local Contact Stress
What are two important characteristics that are important to consider for physical risk factors for MSI?
Duration and magnitude
What are the three types of activity that require force?
Lifting, Lowering, or carrying
Pushing or pulling

2) Defining the job demands
3) Identify risk factors by body part for each task of concern
4) For each risk factor, ask why it is present until a dead end is reached

6) Choose the solution(s) that will substantially reduce the ergonomic problems and be within affordable cost guidelines for the workplace
What is MFA best designed for?
To assess production tasks having <12-15 reps/min
What are the MFAs limitations?
- It will underestimate the fatigue accumulation in sustained postural tasks (>30 reps/min)
- Underestimate fatigue accumulation in tasks where postural loads are sustained for longer than 30 seconds
