Management of OSA

A

Correct reversible RFs:

  • Lose weight
  • Stop drinking alcohol
  • Stop smoking

CPAP is the next step

Surgery is another option - involves quite significant surgical restructuring of the soft palate and jaw. The most common procedure is called uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP).
