A type of permanent birth control aka “getting your tubes tied”

A surgical procedure that uses a laparoscope to examine the pelvic organs
What is a colposcopy?
A procedure to examine the cervix and vaginal walls
What is a hysterectomy?
A procedure where the uterus is removed. This can be through the lower abdomen or the vagina

What is a dilatation and curettage? (D&C)
A surgical procedure where the cervix is dilated so that the uterine lining can be scraped with a curette to remove abnormal tissues
What is a hysteroscopy?
A procedure that allows surgeons to look inside of your uterus in order to diagnose and treat the causes of abnormal bleeding
