Oblique Collisions Flashcards

Q

A ball collides with one wall then bounces off, again with another wall.
The ball and walls are modelled as smooth.
In reality the floor and walls may not be smooth.
What effect would the model have on the speed and directions of motion of the ball calculated? (2)

A

resistance
–> final speed = slower
–> angle the same
