  2. The angle of view must not be less than 30 degrees to the surface being inspected
  3. A minimum illumination of 162 lux
  4. For study of small anomalies a minimum illumination of 538 lux is required
  5. Personnel capable of reading standard J-1 letters on a standard Jaeger eye test chart
