What are the ten form objections that must be brought up at deposition or else they are waived?
Argumentative, Asked and Answered, Assumes Facts not in Evidence, Compound, Lack of Foundation, Lack of Personal Knowledge, Leading, Mischaracterization, Speculative, Vague or Misleading.
Argumentative
Does the question offer a conclusion of what the evidence means rather than simply asking for the facts of what happened?
Asked and Answered
Has the question already been asked and answered?
Assumes Facts not in Evidence
Is the question hypothetical or does it assume certain facts to be true?
Compound
Does the question contain two or more questions?
Lack of Foundation
Has previous testimony established I am qualified to answer this question?
Lack of Personal Knowledge
Does my knowledge of the fact depend upon outside information or hearsay?
Leading
Does the question suggest the answer?
Mischaracterization
Does the question misinterpret or misstate earlier testimony?
Speculative
Does the question ask me to speculate or make a guess?
Vague or Misleading
Is the question unclear or lacking in specificity?
