Character Evidence
witness is saying evidence not in their affidavit
Hearsay:
out of court statement; “He said, she said.”
Irrelevant:
question has no importance
Lack of Personal Knowledge
they don’t know this info–not an expert on this
Lack of Proper Foundation:
when a question is random, often can object to when an exhibit is not explained
Lack of Qualification:
the witness can’t testify to expert facts
Leading Question:
question asking for a yes or no answer
Non-Responsive Answer:
a witness’ answer is objectionable if it fails to respond to the question asked.
Opinion on Ultimate Issue
Giving opinion on the ultimate issue–saying who is guilty or liable
Question Calling for Narrative or General Answer:
the witness rambles, no specific answer
Repetition:
asking a question with the same answer multiple times
Speculation:
asking the witness about hypothetical situations.
