What’s the difference between Quick Actions and Global Actions?
Quick actions are object-specific and they create actions on the record they were built on. Global actions can be put anywhere actions are supported. Users can access the global actions menu by clicking + in the Salesforce header.
Steps to create an Object-Specific Action:
–Setup
–Object Manager
–Click on the desired object
–Buttons, Links, and Actions
–New Action

Steps to add a Global Action to the Global Actions Menu:
–Setup
–Home
–Publisher Layouts.
–Click Edit next to Global Layout.
–Click the Mobile & Lightning Actions category in the palette.
–Drag you action from the palette into the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions section
–Save
What Is a Lightning App?
An app is a collection of items that work together to serve a particular function.
Steps to reate a Lightning App:
–Home
–App Manager.
–Click New Lightning App.
What Do Compact Layouts Do?
Compact layouts control which fields your users see in the highlights panel at the top of a record. They also control the fields that appear in the expanded lookup card you see when you hover over a link in record details, and in the details section when you expand an activity in the activity timeline.
Steps to create a Compact Layout:
–Object Manager.
–Open the desired object
–click Compact Layouts.
–Click New.
–Give a Label and add fields
–Save.
*Set as the primary compact layout for the object.
–Click Compact Layout Assignment
–Edit Assignment.
–Select The new Compact Layout
–Save.
What Can Custom Buttons and Links Do?
Custom links can link to an external URL. Custom buttons can connect users to external applications, such as web pages, and launch custom links.
Steps to change the label of a field:
–Setup
–Rename Tabs and Labels
–click Edit in front of the desired object.
–Next.
–Find The field in the list of standard fields and change the name
–Save
