What is Uterine Prolapse?
Protrusion of part, or all, of the uterus outside the vagina (1st, 2nd, 3rd Degrees)
(Warm moist dressing, and transport to appropriate facility)
What causes Uterine Prolapse?
Uterine prolapse occurs when pelvic floor muscles and ligaments stretch/weaken
They no longer provide enough support for the uterus.
As a result, the uterus slips down into or protrudes out of the vagina. Uterine prolapse can occur in women of any age.
What is Ovarian torsion?
Twisting of the ovary in such a way that its blood supply is interrupted.
What causes Ovarian torsion?
Adnexal masses
A lump in tissue near the uterus, usually in the ovary or fallopian tube.

Adnexal masses include:
- ovarian cysts - MOST COMMON REASON
- ectopic (tubal) pregnancies
- benign (not cancer)
- malignant (cancer) tumors
Post-Partum Depression
- Timin
- At-Risk
- Signs and Symptoms
- Any time during pregnancy up to 1 year after birth
- Adolescents/Lower Income - higher incidence
- Lack of interest in caring for self
- Sleep disorders (too much/little)
- Overwhelming Sadness/Crying/Anger
- Lack of appetite
Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG)
Rare disorder characterized by severe and persistent nausea and vomiting during pregnancy that may necessitate hospitalization.

- High Blood Pressure

- Cocaine, Crack, Crystal Meth (STIMULANTS)
