Why are monounsaturated fats healthier than polyunsaturated fats?
They both have low cholesterol and LDL, but only monounsaturated fats have increased HDL

- eating more rapidly than normal
- eating until feeling uncomfortably full
- eating large amounts of food when not feeling hungry
- eating alone because of embarrassment
- feeling disgusted, depressed, or guilty after overeating
Dx criteria of anorexia
- intense fear of gaining weight to becoming fat
- amenorrhea
- restricting (starving)
- purging (blends with bulimia)
- extreme perfectionism, OCD, low self esteem, high achiever, anxiety, depression, cognitive impairment
Complications of anorexia
Bradycardia
Cardiac dysrhthmias
Female athlete triad of anorexia
Eating disorder
Amenstrual
Osteoporosis
Dx criteria for bulimia nervosa
- recurrent episodes of binge eating
- a sense of lack of control
- self-induced vomiting
- laxative and/or diuretic abuse
- fasting or excessive exercise following binging episode
