What BMI scores qualify as overweight and as obese?
Overweight= >25 Obese= >30
What BMI score qualifies as undernutrition?
<20
Describe the questions and scores associated with the MUST screening tool for undernutrition
Check BMI- (<20 = +1, <18 = +2)
Unintentional weight loss in past 3-6 months? (Yes 5% = +1, yes 10% = +2)
Has the patient eaten in the last five days? (No = +2)
A score of two or more indicates a patient who’s at risk of undernutrition
Patients with a score of one should be given supplements and monitored
Patients with a score of zero should also be monitored
