  • blurred vision from fluctuating blood sugar levels
  • tiredness
  • Urinary tract infections and skin infections

managing through diet and lifestyle

  • increase physical activity as it lowers blood glucose levels, controls blood pressure, improves blood cholesterol and helps manage stress
  • exercise regularly
  • eat a variety of food low in fat and high in fibre
  • lose weight
  • limit alcohol
  • don’t smoke
  • limit use of artificial sweetness
