For Primary prevention:
3.15g omega-3 fatty acids per week
At least 2 portions of fish per week, 1 oil rich
1 portion = 140g
For secondary prevention (post MI)
Do not routinely recommend eating oily fish or omega-3/fish-oil supplements for the sole purpose of preventing another MI
Examples of oily fish: salmon, macril, sardines
