- A blue sleeveless 1950s style dress with large white polka dots. There is a deep boat neckline, a tight waist with a bow at the back and full circular skirt with white petticoats underneath. Tan heeled shoes and blue ribbons in her hair.
- there are three Gobstoppers boys: one yellow, one pink, one blue. They all wear the same costume except the colour difference.
The blue boy, wears a bright blue t-shirt with a MOD inspired target on black and blue. The sleeves have black stripes, he wears a black sleeveless leather jacket with silver studs. Black 3/4 length jeans with a blue belt and blue Doc Martin style boots with black laces. He wears a blue shiny moped helmet.
Describe the set design in the Act 1; The Orphanage.
An abstracted, crooked, over sized version of a dormitory. There is a back clothe painted in various geometric shapes in shades of grey with a black diagonal line running horizontally. There is a tall window stage right of the cloth with moonlight bleeding through and a clock in the centre initially pointing to 7pm. The hands later spin, there is a large zigzag crack running down the centre. Two pillars flank the front of the stage on both sides showing part tiled walls and more grey/ white oversized shapes, which also have cracks. The floor is tiled in blue/ grey and white in large squares. Downstage left there is a doorway, upstage there are five hospital-style metal beds made up in blue/ grey bedding and white pillows. There is an oversized wardrobe in the upstage left corner. In one section of the orphanage, the orphans decorate the set with paper chains and a Christmas tree.
