Pharyngostomy Tube
Oesophageal feeding tube
Small tube surgically placed in the oropharynx
Naso-oesophageal
Small tube threaded through the nose and down into the oesophagus
Naso-gastric
Small tube threaded through the nose and down into the stomach
Gastrostomy tube
Surgically or endoscopically placed in the stomach
Enterostomy tube
Tube surgically placed into the duodenum or jejunum, bypassing the stomach
Polydispsia
is excessive thirst that usually presents as excessive water intake and is a clinical sign of many diseases (diabetes, pyometra, nephritis etc) or it can be side-effect of some medications and should be brought to the attention of the veterinarian.
Polyuria
increased urine production
Hypodipsia
decreased water intake
Adipsia
lack of drinking
Dysuria
Difficulty in passing urine
Anuria
Total inability to pass urine
Haematuria
Presence of blood in the urine
