Q

Is Subtraction and Division Associative?

Show an example to prove your answer

A

No its NOT associative

(12 divided by 6) divided by 2 = 2 divided by 2 = 1

12 divided by (6 divided by 2) = 12 divided by 3 = 4

Q

What’s a distributive property?

Show an example of this

A

Distributive means multiplication of “N” DISTRIBUTIVE over addition and subtraction.

E.g 3(7+9) = (3 x 7) + (3 x 9) = 21 + 27 = 48

a x (b divided by c) = (a x b) + (a x c)
