A

the smallest number which is a multiple of two or more numbers eg. 15 is the lcm of 5 and 3

prime factor decomposition

A

means writing it as a product of prime factors.
- divide it by the first possible prime number. Divide the product again by the lowest possible prime number, do this again until you reach one. then combine all the prime numbers an times them together ading powers if neccesary
