Q

Draw & describe the general structure of a nucleotide

A

Consists of a pentose (five-carbon) sugar molecule, where a nitrogenous base is bonded to C₁ of the sugar and a negatively charged phosphate group is bonded to either C₅/C₃ of the sugar, by covalent bonds formed by condensation reactions
