How To Administer CPR

A
  1. Position your body by kneeling beside the person’s upper chest
  2. Locate the correct hand by placing the heel of one hand on the person’s sternum
  3. Place your other hand directly on top of the first hand
  4. Give 30 chest compressions. Push Hard, push fast at a rate of atleast 100 compressions pee minute.
  5. Give compressions by pushing the sternum down at least 2 inches.
  6. After each compression, release the pressure on the chest.
  7. Open the airway using the head-tilt/chin-lift technique and give 2 rescue breaths.
  8. Continue cycles of chest compressions and rescue breaths.
  9. Once you begin CPR, do not stop until the EMS personnel take over.
