What is the mechanism of NSAIDs?
A
Inhibit COX and hence, reduce thromboxane, prostacyclin, and prostaglandin production (responsible for mediating inflammation and sensitizing peripheral nerve endings)

COX-1 - constitutive - responsible for physiological production of PGs
COX-2 - inducible - produces PGs during inflammation
