fight or flight response

A

a stressor occurs, and the ANS changes from the resting state (parasynthetic) to the aroused state (sympathetic). the piturity gland then releases the ACTH hormone, this effects the adrenal glands, causing them to release adrenaline, which can increase breathing or heart rate
