Names an idea, a feeling, a quality, or a characteristic
Abstract noun
Is a word that names a group
Ex. Audience, team, family
Collective nouns
Is a word used in place of one or more nouns or pronouns
Pronoun
Refers to the subject and is necessary to the meaning of the sentence Ex. Myself, yourself, etc.
Reflexive pronoun
Emphasizes a noun or another pronouns and is unnecessary to the meaning of the sentence
Ex. Yourselves, ourselves, themselves
Intensive pronoun
Points out a person, place, thing, or idea
Ex. This that | These those
