Why did they migrate to Notting Hill?
British nationality act 1948, said that people who lived in countries that were all had been part of the empire in code to migrate here to live and work.
Many people felt a connection to Britain as the mother country and felt it was a good work opportunity with jobs for transport for London and the NHS
Notting Hill was one of the few places that would rent house into black people, so many settle there
