the rules of good outline (9)
- All outlines should be either topic or sentence summaries
- Don’t mix two types
- Word, introduction, body, or conclusion can not be used
- No punctuation in outline
- Things should be grammatically parallel
- Topic has a capitalized title
- All main topics should be broken up into subtopics which are indented
- Roman numerals, capital letters, numbers, and lower case letters should be used
- Everything should be in pairs (subtopics)
