Memoir
a loose sentence that starts w/ an independent clause or main clause, which is simple and straight, provides main idea and then adds subordinate elements or modifiers
Cumulative Sentence
a literary device defined as un-rhyming verse written in iambic pentameter; in poetry and prose, it has a consistent meter w/ 10 syllables in each line, where unstressed syllables are followed by stressed ones and five of which are stressed but do not rhyme, although it can if the poet chooses
Blank Verse
a story of the growing up of a sensitive person who looks for answers to his questions through different experiences
Bildungsroman
during the journey, the protagonist gains maturity gradually and w/ difficulty; usually, the plot depicts a conflict b/w the protagonist and the values and they are accepted by the society, ending the dissatisfaction
Bildungsroman
a false illustration of something, a deceptive impression, or a false belief; meant to mislead the readers
Illusion
a character that shows qualities that are in contrast w/ the qualities of another character; typically applied to a contrasting character; also used for any comparison that is drawn to portray a difference b/w two things
