Graphs
Displacement-time graph’s gradient/tangent = velocity at that point. Area under= displacement
Speed-time graph’s gradient = acceleration. Area under the curve=distance
Velocity-time graph’s gradient= acceleration. Area under: displacement
*recall for displacement, there’s a positive and negative
Cylinder
volume - πr^2 x h
surface area - 2πrh+2πr^2
Sphere
volume - 4/3 x πr^3
surface area - 4πr^2
Rational number
any real number that can be written as a fraction where both top and bottom are integers and denominator is not 0. e.g any integer, -0.75, 0.333, 0/3, 0.439
irrational number
any real number that is not a rational number (cannot be expressed as the ratio of 2 integers) e.g
pi, surd 10, 0.0487293…
real number
rational numbers, integers, irrational numbers, whole numbers, natural numbers. doesnt have an imaginary part
integers
whole number, can be positive, negative or zero
natural numbers
positive whole numbers, 0 is excluded
1, 2,3… to infinity
constant
a fixed defined number
e.g 2,0,-3, 2/7, 3.68…
equations
acceleration = VAT - change in velocity over change in time
