Boomerang
You try to persuade somebody but they go the other way even father way more strong on own opinion on subject
Contrast
Judging the other person. More thinking. Sees someones message different than yours.
Cues filtered out
Nonverbal cues filter out of computer based communication. Example: texting, emailing theres no verbal cues
Behavioral vs Cognitive
Behavior is how will someone behave if for example I said how your dress is see through how would you respond to what i said. VS Cognitive is what were they thinking wearing that dress
Social exchange theory
How much rewards will you give me or how much costs, like negatives. Example: Rewards how much money your partner has while costs is they always talk about themselves.

Rule of parsimony (Occam’s razor)
Given two plausible explanations for the same event, we should accept the simpler version.
