Note Flashcards
How many 1” steam branches can come off a 3” steam header
3(squared) x 0.7854 = 7.0686 in” (squared)
1 ( squared) x 0.7854= .7854 in (squared)
7.0686 \ 0.7854 = 9 pipes
What is direct siphonage
..,.
What is cappilerary action
For a trap seal, when a trap has hair, a rag, or any obsorbing material within the trap going from the trap seal to the down stream piping. The material absorbs the trap seal water and is than passed through the material to the downstream piping.
Self siphonage
Is when the vent is chocked off. Too much grade on piping
Siphonage by momentum
Is when your fixture outlet pipe is too long (over 1200mm) which creates a high enough flow rate to pash right through P trap
Indirect Siphonage is
When the trap arm is too short
