what is the silk road and how did it impact the renaissance
The silk road was a trading route that went though the middle east. It introduced new idea’s which helped form new world views. It also increased trade and made counties wealthier. It was a sharing of world views.
How did the renaissance begin
contact with other cultures increased new ides started, spurring change.
how did the social structure reflect worldview
the people with more money wealth were more respected and the poorer people were not treated as well. They viewed richer higher.
how did growth of cities contribute to changing world view
trade increased, made people wealthy, made a middle class. Wealth brought power/change of world veiw. Made new jobs, people were able to change class
why did city states prosper in Italy
mountains protected from invaders, trading cities thrived, feudal system not strong, ruins reminded them how effective that style of gov’t was, power of the church weakened as they moved to France

had a class system, merchants moved up in class were known as the fat ppl, organized guilds, workers/shopkeepers called little people most workers had been peasants, they were not allowed to move class, nobles were the richest.

when medici ruled f became the center of renaissance culture medici supported many ppl and careers. Ideas of citizenship were promoted
Who was the medici family and what did they do
governed Florence for three centuries, -payed for lots of architecture -employed/supported artists sculptures, architects - study collect works of Greek/romans -held events to discuss ideas/art led negotiations for peace treaty
