What ranges comprise the Northern Mountains?
A
The Trans Himalayas, the Himalaya and the Purvanchal.

What are Trans Himalayas?
A
Trans Himalayas are old fold mountains. It contains the Karakoram range and the highest peak in Indian territory, the K2 or Mt. Godwin Austin.
Further south, it contains the Ladakh and Zaskar ranges.
