Normal Sinus Rhythm Values Flashcards
Typical length of P wave?
0.06 - 0.10 seconds
Typical amplitude of P wave?
0.5 - 2.5 mm
Typical shape of P wave?
Round, upright/positive
Typical length of PR interval?
0.12 - 0.20 seconds
Typical length of QRS complex?
0.06 - 0.12 seconds
Typical shape of QRS complex?
Tall and narrow
Typical length of QT interval?
0.36 - 0.44 seconds
Is the T wave symmetrical or asymmetrical on sinus rhythm?
Slightly asymmetric
What does the P wave represent?
Atrial depolarization
What does the PR segment represent?
Electrical impulse traveling from the AV node to the bundle of His, bundle branches, and Purkinje fibers
What does the PR interval represent?
The time it takes for the electrical impulse to travel from the atrium to the AV node, aka timed value of atrial depolarization
What does the QRS complex represent?
Ventricular depolarization mainly, but also hides atrial repolarization
What do the ST segment and T wave represent?
Time for ventricular repolarization
What does the QT interval represent?
Time for ventricles to depolarize AND repolarize, aka contraction and relaxation
