Start up sequence?

• Throttle - 1/3cm open
• Ignition - start
• Confirm - Brakes holding, no fire, starter warning extinguished
• Oil pressure >10psi within 30 seconds
• Throttle - 900rpm
• Primer - Off

Question 2

Runway Entry?

Answer 2

• XPDR - Alt
• Strobe & landing lights on
• Compass aligned +- 5 degrees rwy aligned

Question 3

After take off?

Answer 3

• 300’ AGL - positive climb, flaps cruise

* landing light - as required

Question 4

Climb & Descent checks?

Answer 4

• Altimetry - check
• T’s & P’S - in range & sufficient
• icing - check

Question 5

TOC, Cruise, TOD checks?

Answer 5

• Compass & CO - check
• Log - Landing light - as required
• Engine T’s & P’s - in range and sufficient
• Altimetry - check
• Radio - check (tune & set)
• Orientation - W/V, location, chart, elevation, airspace
• Fuel - Cock, contents, pressure, pump & primer

Question 6

Before landing checks?

Answer 6

• Fuel - cock, contents, pump
• Mixture - rich
• Brakes - set and checked
• Altimetry - check
• Security - secure & pax secure

Question 7

Final Approach?

Answer 7

• Approach = Stable
