Define Bartholin Cysts

A

Bartholin glands are two small organs under the skin on either side of labia that produce small amount of fluid for moisture. Occasionally can become blocked and lead to infection, most cysts go away on their own unless they become infected

when soft cells ( glandular cells ) that line inside of cervical canal spread to the outer surface of your cervix, outside normally has hard cells ( epithelial cells) - considered a normal presentation

most common is hormonal changes, like COCs, often resolves on its own, but occasionally can cause bleeding and pain
