Q

when floating a low paired flop in position, what are the correct actions for an aggressive turn?

A

we should be betting the top and bottom of our range if checked to, and looking to jam any rivers that brick. if he bets into us, we can raise with the very top of our range and fold the rest. the only thing that should check back are mid pocket pairs looking for a showdown taking a pot control line

Q

when a TAG opens utg or utg+1 and the flop is broadway low low, and then continues on a brick or ace, how should we respond? ESPECIALLY ON A NON FLUSH DRAW TURN

A

we should be looking to raise the turn as a bluff with a lot of hands. if we are 2.5x raising his turn bets, we are folding out a lot of his hands.

A
  1. how often will villain call? based on stats
  2. do i have a 2 or 3 street value hand?
  3. what sizing will get the desired result?
17
Q

what kinds of boards are you looking to shove over your opponents with

A

you are looking for 1 high card low card draw completing boards, or places where the turn pairs the board and they bet when they can’t have the given card in their range. basicaly places where they can’t have the nuts

18
Q

what kind of opponent are you looking to shove the river against?

A

weak tight, TAG’s 14/12 or less on stats

19
Q

what are the best places to mess around on the river?

A

places where the top of your opponents range is made up of almost all pairs

20
Q

what is the best line to take in a 3bet pot opp vs a aggressive 3 bettor

A

check call flop, check turn. if checked back, you can bet or check the river depending on board texture

21
Q

what is the optomal line with ak, aq, and aj opp vs aggressive opp, and why?

A

check call flop because if an ace comes on the turn, you will get another bet, and he will most likely check back the river.

22
Q

what kinds of boards are good to barrel bluff in a 3 bet pot?

A

ones where there are 1 high card, and the rest low with a flush draw present that doesn’t come in.

23
Q

what are some good spots to overbet for value?

A

when the turn gets checked back and they bet the river, you can overbet value raise top pair top kicker when the flush draw misses.

24
Q

what are the 3 most common lines with pairs 66 and under out of the blinds?

A

1-fold pre 2- reraise preflop, you must do this with a balanced range 3- call and try to get to showdown on a flop with 1 high card and 2 unders.

25
Q

what is a creative way to play smaller pp against aggressive late position openers?

A

to check call the flop and maybe the turn, but to check raise the rivers. you are looking for c/b/c flops, c/c turns and c/b,cr rivers. you are looking to do this against a good aggressive player that has a tight river fold stat.

26
Q

what kinds of players should you be bet/folding the river to?

A

calling stations, weak tight players

27
Q

when you are in position in a 3 bet pot and flop overs, what are you looking for?

A

what is their cbet in 3bet pot, and what is their general 3bet%. if both are generally high, 10% cbet and 80% cbet, you should consider shoving overs especially with aq,ak,and aj due to the card removal theroy.

28
Q

what is a good non standard value line on a k97r flop?

A

cbet flop, check back dry turns looking to value rasie/bet on river.

29
Q

when you flop open ended in position on a board with flush draws in a 3bet pot, what is the optimal play?

A

check back in position, and bet the turn or call a turn bet. its a pot control line and will still give you a chance to get max value while protecting against getting it in as a dog on the flop vs overs and flush draws. if they bet the flop, it is most likely just a call call evaluate the river line

30
Q

when you flop open ended in position on a board with out flush draws in a 3bet pot, what is the optimal play?

A

look at stats to see if they cbet a lot in 3bet pots. if they do, you can shove over them and get a fold a lot of the time, if not you have good equity. you can also bet if checked to, as the likelihood of them check shipping a fd is non existent.

31
Q

what are the differences with kqs and kqoff in position?

A

suited should call and play post flop because it has much better equity and will only fold out dominated hands with a 3bet. kqoff on the other hand will gain in equity from 3betting.

32
Q

what are some things to think about when an ace rivers?

A

if it completes a low straight, you should think about raising or bluff shoving. the same goes if it doesn’t really hit anything. a lot of good players will bet/fold to a shove or raise. this usually works best on a bet/check/bet line.

33
Q

what are two things to consider when bluff shoving the river?

A

1- what hands are your repping? you want to do this when villians range is mostly made of pairs.
2- you want to be giving him around 2 to 1 odds on a call. not better than 2.5 or your success will go way down
3- what are his river call stats?

34
Q

with middle flush draws in a 3 bet pot, what should be the standard play?

A

check back the flop or just call and evaluate on the turn. getting it in will usually be a bad move, as we will be in bad shape. we don’t want to get check raised and have to play for stacks with this hand.

35
Q

what is a better than standard line to take with tpmk?

A

its better to bet/bet/check fold if we don’t beat anything. espically on paired boards. this line is better than a bet/fold river.

36
Q

99,1010, and jj utg the gun; what is the optimal play with these hands when 3 bet by late position?

A

fold unless you have been getting abused. call only if you can let go on any non set flop. if late position has been very very active, you can jam here. folding has less variance.

37
Q

when the river card fills most draws (a flush and straight) and its checked to you, what should you do?

A

aginst tag regulars, you should turn the bottom of your range into a bluff here and bet 2/3 pot. if he took a pot control weak line, what can he call with? you need to ballence this with betting the same with the nuts, but thats not hard to do in position

38
Q

what kinds of hands should you be checking back on flops

A

hands that can improve to a good to strong hand and will catch bluffs on very dry boards by having some show down value

39
Q

if villians call a draw heavy flop and draw heavy turn how should you play the river?

A

shove most of the time reguardless of the river unless it is noted that they call light or make hero calls. if they have a strong hand, you would expect a raise on the turn, or a donk river bet
