What is the climate of the wachau and the geological aspect?
Wachau is situated west of the niederosterreich region. Where the pannonian warmth can heat the vineyard in the Donau valley (as far as the east part of the region)
There is also a western Atlantic influence.
There is hot summer and harsh winter regulated by the Donau river.
Most of the vineyards are situated north of the river facing east or south east on very steep slopes 450 m high.
