What is an average cornea?

What treatment would you give a patient with a thin cornea with pressures of 24?
PGA until age 65
What treatment would you give a patient with a thin cornea with pressures of 28?
PGA until age 80
If a patient had a thick cornea and pressures of 33 what would be the treatment?
All patients with pressures over 32mmHg should be treated indefinitely with PGAs.
What treatment should be offered to patient with average corneas with pressures of 24 and 29?
24 - no treatment until pressures over 25
28 - treat until 60 with BB if BB contraindicated use PGA
When should preservative free drops be offered?
If patient is allergic and at high risk of conversion i.e. Iop’s over 32mmHg or thin corneas and over 25mmHg.
If IOP is on target and patient is low risk to conversion what would be the follow up period?
1-2 years
If iops are on target and patient is high risk to conversion when should they be followed up?
6-12 months
If IOP is above target and/or there is evidence of conversion when should they be seen again?
1-4 mths for IOP only
4-6 mths if high risk of conversion
6-12 mths if low risk of conversion
