  • volume depletion
  • electrolyte imbalance
  • uncontrolled diabetes
  • uncontrolled heart failure
  • correctable cardiac arrhythmia or ischaemia

  • exacerbation of chronic chest conditions.

1. medically stable
2. Have the mental ability to participate in ongoing rehab and hip fracture management
3. Able to transfer and mobilise short distances
4. Has not achieved full rehab potential, as discussed with person, family, carer
