-eg. Martinbrough , Malborough and Hawkes Bay - 18 GI’s
*Prosecco is registered and can be used in NZ
-2018, Appellation Malborough Wine’ protects the regions reputation as exports contimue to grow
Wines must be made in Malborough to agreed max yields, certified sustainable and bottled in NZ

-reuptation for high quality wines - quality reinforced through clean, enviro credentials with 96% of all vineyards sustainable
Sustainable Wine New Zealand - SB is 86% of all exports - now more cultural experiments and new interesting styles are emerging
-Big Brands are not as prevalant - labels focus on the beauty of the country - high quality , eco friendly image
