CRITICISM: Feminists

A

Oppression of women in families, divorce allows women to escape this - radical feminists/ men benefit in family whereas women better of to stay clear from it -

Contemporary families ; Edgell 1980: women are involved in the not so important desisions and less likely to have the final say- power is from the male

Darker side or family: families can be hostile and dangerous - growing privataization - emotional stress : upset
Which can lead to psychological damage in children, illness and crime!
Violice - patricahal power - creates more problems … better of away ?
