Agricultural Adjustment Act (AAA)
A lot in 1933 to raise crop prices by being finally leave a certain amount of their land unplanted thus lowering production.
Federal Home Loan Bank Act
A lot in 1981 that lowered home mortgage and allowed farmers to refinance their loans and afford foreclosure.
Federal Securities Act
A lot in 1933 that requires corporations to provide complete accurate information on all stock offenses.
Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC)
Provided jobs for more than 2 million young men. They replanted forests, built trails dug irrigation ditches, and fought forest fires.
Securities and Exchange Commission
And agency created in 1934 that monitored the stock market and enforced laws that regulated the sale of stocks and bonds
Works Progress Administration
Key New Deal agency that provided work relief through various public works projects
Wagner Act (NLRB)
New deal law that abolished unfair labor practices, recognized the right of employees to organize labor unions, and gave workers the right to collective bargaining
Frances Perkins
First female member of the US cabinet. Appointed secretary of labor she played a key role in the passage of a number of labor laws
National Industrial Recovery Act
New deal agency that promoted economic recovery by regulating production, prices, and wages.
Court Packing
FDR plan to add up six new justices to the nine-member Supreme Court after the court had ruled that some New Deal Legislation was unconstitutional
Tennessee Valley Authority
Government agency that built dams in the Tennessee River Valley to control flooding and generate electric power
Mexican Repatriation Act (1930s)

A government that assumes responsibility for providing the welfare of children,the poor,elderly,sick,disabled and unemployed.
Great Depression
Period lasting from 1929 to 1941 in when the US economy declined and unemployment increased.
Dust Bowl
Term used for the central and southern Great Plains during the 1930s when the region suffered from drought and dust storms.
