Helped native Americans to preserve and practise their traditions laws and culture
What did the new deal do to help society?
It restored some faith in the government. They helped people on a scale they never would have before
What did the new deal not do to help society?
Undermined state government and confidence remained low in the 1930s Americans only spent and invested about 75% of what they did before.
What did Roosevelt believe in?
An active government to improve ordinary lives.
What did Roosevelt plan to do?
Send public money on getting people back to work. He had already started in New York
What was Roosevelt not afraid to do?
Ask for help from experts
How did the new deal help unemployed and the people economy?
It created millions of jobs, stabilised the banking act and the TVA brought work and improved standard of living to deprived areas.
