Q

What is it?

A

Neuropraxia is the mildest form of nerve injury, characterized by temporary disruption of nerve function without structural damage to the nerve fibers (axons) or their surrounding structures (myelin sheath). It is often caused by compression, stretching, or a sudden blunt injury that temporarily impairs conduction along the affected nerve.
