Mixed UMN + LMN signs
- Wasting + Fasciculations (LMN)
- Extensor plantar response (UMN)
- Brisk reflexes (UMN)
- Weakness

- Spastic paresis
- Survival generally longer

A
Supportive
- maintain nutritional status
- supportive respiratory care
Glutamate antagonists - riluzole
- prolongs time til ventilation ~3 months
